D3 Wines of the World
The WSET Level 4 D3 Wines of the World unit provides a comprehensive study of still wines from the world’s key wine-producing regions, including France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the USA, Canada, Chile, Argentina, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and China. Students build a structured, comparative understanding of how climate, grape growing, winemaking, and regional influences shape style and quality across Europe, the Americas, Africa, Australasia, and Asia.

Before studying D3, you must first study and test for D1 and D2.

The D3 Wines of the World course is the most comprehensive unit in the WSET Diploma and typically requires a minimum of six months of study. Our D3 program pairs two intensive, tasting-focused in-person Diploma Days weekends with robust online learning support, including recorded lectures, structured critical thinking activities, and practice exams with examiner-level feedback.
