Champagne Specialist Certification
This high-level Champagne Course — developed by the Comité Champagne — is for the dedicated Champagne lover and Champagne professional. Students will engage deeply with one of the most iconic (and delicious!) wines of the world as they develop an advanced-level of knowledge.
The interactive format of this course develops deep understanding of Champagne wines, including labels and regulations, sensory evaluation, storage, service, and pairing.

The course is led by Tanya Morning Star, a Champagne Ambassador, French Wine Scholar Instructor of the Year, and fluent French speaker, whose deep expertise and engaging teaching style bring the region to life.

You should plan to allocate 7 hours for course review before class. This will include review of your Champagne Specialist Coursebook and review of the CIVC Online Learning Resources, all included with your course registration.

All learning is underscored by instructor-guided tasting of benchmark Champagne styles. The course also includes a focus on Champagne and food pairing.

The Champagne Specialist Exam is offered at the end of Day 2 and consists of 30 multiple-choice questions, 2 open questions, and tasting of 2 Champagnes. Students who successfully pass this exam are awarded the Champagne Specialist Certificate.
